A Grander Apology Tour

Fail

Fail

Investors Business Daily published a story yesterday that describes how Obama wanted to visit Japan in November 2009 and apologize for dropping nuclear bombs on them during the overseas contingency operation known as WWII. Luckily, the Japanese Foreign Minister put the kabosh on that plan. Most recently, the Obama Regime “contacted the family of al-Qaida propagandist and recruiter Samir Khan to ‘express its condolences’ to his family” after he was vaporized along with Anwar al-Awlaki on Sep 30, 2011. Khan was a bad dude, yet this narcissist who we call “president” fails to see things so clearly. Oh, he’s clear about identifying America’s shortcomings (or characterizing them to make them appear to be shortcomings) but when it comes time to call a terrorist a terrorist, he’s nowhere to be found. This man is a menace to our civil society and he is a menace to the worldwide society because of his distorted view of world history and his lack of allegiance to the principals that founded our nation.

Barack’s Jobs Bill

Barack Obama is weak and unimaginative. His so-called “jobs bill” (which really isn’t a bill at all) is simply more of the same failed stimulus that he pushed on us back in 2009. He wants to spend $450 billion by next September but he wants to take 10 years to pay it back. He proposes to spend $450 billion in one year and then raise $1.5 trillion in taxes over 10 years. I believe he proposed this particular plan, knowing full-well that it will never make it through the Congress. Even the Democratic Senate refuses to take action on his plan. Barack’s jobs bill is simply a publicity stunt, meant to be used as a club with which to beat Republicans.

Green Jobs Subsidies Like Winning the Lotto

Seriously

Seriously

Except without paying those pesky taxes.   Today’s Washington Post reveals that the Obama Administration paid over $5 million for every green job created!  Jackpot!  Why not just give a few thousand people a million dollars?  It would be more efficient if you ask me.  HotAir’s Ed Morrissey expounds on the fiasco that is stimulus and green job subsidy.

Even with Obama’s initial promise of 65,000 jobs created (or “saved,” which makes zero sense in this context), that would still come to $593,846 per job, which is hardly an efficient use of capital.  If a private-sector business had that kind of capital, it could easily create five jobs from that amount with $100,000 in compensation each, with enough left over for a substantial profit margin.

But the actual results in this case are much worse.  With $19.3 billion spent on these programs, the cost per actual job created comes to $5.44 million.  That kind of capital could launch entire new businesses, let alone multiple jobs.

Not only is this scandalous, but another huge reason why our Hope IS Change in 2012.

Joblessness, Inflation Up. Manufacturing, Hope Down

Bad news for people.  More folks hit the unemployment line while at the same time it cost American’s more to live.  Add to all that weaker manufacturing numbers and you have a recipe for pain for average American’s.  Read all about it at CNBC.

The answer of course is to apply conservative, fiscally responsible solutions to the nation’s problems as Reagan did when he took office in 1981.  By his 3rd year the economy was on fire.  Here is another comparison between Reagan and Obama at this stage of their presidential careers.

We already know that President Obama wants nothing to do with either fiscal responsibility nor decreases in corporate tax rates and regulations.  Mr. Obama is proposing yet another stimulus in his so-called jobs bill.  I guess because the other stimulus didn’t waste enough tax payer money?

Just another pile of reasons that our Hope IS Change in 2012.

Voting Present

Last Monday was Labor Day and we all got to hear Jimmy Hoffa’s hate-filled speech that advocated violence against tea party members. Twenty minutes after his rant, Barack Obama took the stage. Naturally, he did not denounce Hoffa’s rhetoric. What were the White House’s comments to Hoffa’s speech? They had no comment. What did Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz have to say? She supported Hoffa. In the days following the tirade, Barack Obama continued his silent support of hate and violence against conservatives by not condemning the comments. As he did so often when he was a legislator, Barack Obama voted present when it was his duty to denounce repugnant speech.

“You should pass this bill…”

How many times did Pres Obama say that last night? It seems that the White House pollsters and communications staff determined that that phrase should be indelibly imprinted on our brains. It’s too bad that Obummer and his staff didn’t use their brains when developing this “plan.” It wasn’t a difficult task for them to put this together because all it required was for them to review his previous speeches and cob together his numerous failed proposals. Unfortunately for us, the American citizens, “reforming the tax code” simply means applying heavier taxes to those who are already providing more than 80% of the nation’s revenues. “Fair share” means the same thing. Why doesn’t “fair share” mean taking something from the 47% who pay no taxes? That would be fair.

“I’m talking about a jobs program of a trillion dollars or more.”

No, this insane statement did not come from the lips of Barack Hussein Obama (Let’s wait until Thursday, though). Uber-leftist Maxine Waters lobbed this bomb on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday. “When people work they earn money, they spend that money, and that’s what gets the economy up and going.” Maxine needs to be schooled in basic economics (among other things). When government is the source of that money, we are simply building another house of cards…similar to the one Clinton built with the housing bubble.

Those darned Republicans

The leftist columnist from the NY Slimes, Maureen Dowd, had a very interesting take on BHO’s regime today. Naturally she blamed the Republicans for blocking him “at every turn” during the past three years. My question is why do we conservatives allow the leftmedia to get away with that line? I realize we can’t stop them from publishing their nonsense, but we need to arm ourselves with a response when they spew that trash. (Wait, did he just use a gun metaphor?)

The leftists controlled the Congress for two years. They had a super majority in the Senate and an impressive majority in the House. They could have passed any bill they pleased. The only reason they didn’t get away with completely shredding our Constitution is because the tea party was born and conservatives finally became vocal. There were enough members of the congress who hadn’t completely drank the leftist Koolaid and our protests, letters, calls, emails, etc had an effect. Actually, it wasn’t really a matter of their ideology; they were elected in swing districts and, in order to save their own skin, they broke ranks with Nancy Pelosi and put the brakes on her radical agenda.

Rather than acknowledge the real reasons why cap and trade, the Dream Act, and the rest of their agenda wasn’t passed, the leftmedia simply blames the tea party for being obstructionist. In order to win the presidency next year, we must prepare ourselves with rational, coherent, logical arguments. The media is going to do everything in their power to help the Obama Regime stay in power. We need to be ready.

Arrogance

Merriam Webster defines arrogance as “an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims or assumptions.” This is an apt description of the Obama Regime. Despite mounds and mounds of data and evidence, this collection of miscreants continues to enact policies that put our lives, our liberties, and our pursuit of happiness at risk each and every day. BHO is going to unveil his grand jobs plan on 8 Sep and all indications are that it will be more of the same rhetoric he’s been spewing for 32 months.

Normally, when people are confronted with a situation that demands response and action, they develop a plan, implement the plan, and then reassess that plan. Obama developed and has been implementing his plan to “fundamentally transform the United States” but he has failed to reassess the propriety of that plan. His presumptuous claims and assumptions are completely contradicted by the economic evidence. When is he going to humble himself, admit defeat, and start to work in America’s best interests?
